A 270-foot-long inflatable dragon takes over the Empire State Building

For the premiere of the popular television show House of the Dragon, Hbo Max wraps the iconic skyscraper with a giant version of the dragon Vhagar.

After the famous 1983 King Kong installation and Barbie’s signature pink glow for her 60th Anniversary, this time Hbo Max partnered with the Empire State Building and Bigger than Life Advertising to promote the new season of House of the Dragon, building hype for George R. R. Martin's fantasy saga.

Built in 1931 in the heart of Manhattan, the Empire State Building is one of the iconic skyscrapers of the United States and has remained the tallest skyscraper in the world for over 40 years. It has always held a special place in the hearts of New Yorkers, and in recent decades its popularity has made it the subject of many creative and provocative marketing campaigns.  It is no surprise it has been chosen once again for a tribute to the famous Game of Thrones TV series prequel.
