Designed in 1925 by Pier Giulio Magistretti, father of famed designer and architect Vico Magistretti, nearly a century after its creation, the Galleria del Corso in Milan – connecting Piazza Beccaria and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II – has undergone a complete renovation.

The restoration, which began in 2016, has involved the facades, flooring, and the iron and glass covering of the central octagonal dome, with the replacement of 1,420 glass panels, each unique in shape and size.

The private-funded restoration project cost 8 million euros.
