After having postponed the opening date to the 29th of August, instead of the scheduled 23rd of May, and significantly reduced the duration of the event, it was announced the definitive postponement of the 17th edition of the International Architecture Exhibition to the 22nd of May 2021, guaranteeing the original duration of six months, with the scheduled closing on the 21st of November 2021.
The decision, caused by the pandemic crisis’ protracted difficulties and its lockdown, was also taken in the in view of the current impossibility to prepare in time such a complex and international exhibition, and therefore also as a sign of respect for the commitment invested until now, by the architects and participants, in the preparation of “How will we live together?”, a title now more prophetic than ever, curated by Hashim Sarkis.
In this direction, the 59th Art Biennale is also postponed, postponing the opening to the 23rd of April 2022. A different fate awaits the 77th Venice International Film Festival, which will take place regularly in Venice from the 2nd to the 12nd of September 2020.
