The exhibition “Architecture Prototypes and Experiments” at the Aram Gallery looks at the process of architectural design through the model. Models are displayed together with colour tests, material palettes, full-scale mock ups and prototypes, in order to explain the role that such artefacts play in the making of a design.

Such three-dimensional exercises serve different purposes: from the investigation of spatial relationships to explorations of options and atmospheres, from planning to communicating a project. The exhibition aims to unveil and comment how the use of models is framed in each of the architectural practices involved.
