Comfy Muuto

Muuto presented three new seatings designed by Anderssen & Voll and Cecilie Manz, that share wide and chill dimensions combined with a soft, tactile touch.

Danish company Muuto presented three new furniture pieces at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2017. Norwegian studio Anderssen & Voll designed the Compose sofa and extended the Outline collection with an oversize armchair. Danish designer Cecilie Manz focused on details for her wooden Workshop chair.

Based on the pilot components of an armchair – seat, backrest, armrest, pillows and legs – Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll immersed on a deep and plush seating experience, with the sofa designed as a generous lounge, both soft and firm. Compose rests on hidden legs which give the sofa a visual lightness. It is upholstered with Danish Kvadrat’s fabric Fiord, a wool blend with a subtle three dimensional look.

Contrasting its generous depth of seating and a voluminous embrace, the Outline chair has a slender appearance. With its generous size it can be used in versatile ways – as a small sofa, or as a large armchair. It comes with Powder coated aluminum legs. Wood and steel construction. Cold foam granulate and feather filling. All textiles from Kvadrat or Arve, while the soft leather from Camo Leather.

The Workshop chair by Cecilie Manz was developed and prototyped in just a few weeks in her Copenhagen studio, and produced in lacquered oak wood, matte clear oak or oregon pine. Legs and frame are made from solid wood, while back and seat from veneer.
