Juicero startup teamed up with Yves Béhar to create a new “farm-to-glass” system that transforms organic food into fresh cold-pressed juices, just by pushing a button.
Juicero is a new health and wellness company on a mission to make it easier to consume more servings of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, with a countertop cold-press juicing system that puts together technology agriculture and design to make raw and organic home juicing effortless.
The startup collaborated with Yves Béhar’s Fuseproject to come up with the “farm-to-glass” project. The Juicero’s system includes the Juicero Press, WiFi-enabled, the Juicero Packs, containing 100% raw, organic products that are triple washed, chopped, mixed, packed and delivered home and the Juicero App, with information on the nutritional benefits, the tracking of the inventory and the scheduling of deliveries.
The final product is meant to fit in any kitchen: the front door is an achievement in design and engineering, since it’s made from aircraft grade aluminum that integrates the Pack seamlessly, before the door locks shut with a simple click. The inside is one continuous rubber lining, made of a robust mixture of flattened and flexible silicon and triton and allowing it to withstand important amounts of pressure while controlling the flow of liquid. The juicer is also smart – it reads every Pack’s unique QR code to provide visibility into products origins and nutritional value, ensuring peak quality, and helping to track usage.
