The exhibition “A to Z. The World of Isay Weinfeld” illustrates the philosophy of this renowned architect in a most impressive manner. The wide range covered by his work results from his insatiable curiosity, from a constant urge to try out something new and from his conviction that willingness to expand one’s horizons is decisive in creating good architecture.
In the Az W a cross-section through the work of Isay Weinfeld will be presented: ranging from furniture and design objects (including the lounge chair Poltrona Isay and the bar Carrinho Bar Toto) designs for the interiors of various shops and restaurants (including Forneria San Paolo and Livraria da Vila) to single-family houses (among them Casa Yucatan and Casa Piracicaba), as well as projects from the areas of residential and office buildings (including Edifício 360°, 2009 and the Edifício Oka, 2012 – both received the MIPIM AR Future Projects Award) and to the design of public open space (Praça da Amauri).
