Situated in the heart of the Expo in the Piazza Italia, four 10 meter-high tree-like sculptures designed by Daniel Libeskind will anchor the four corners of the central square.
“The Expo Gates brings together the dynamic relationship between art and technology, while celebrating public space, – said architect Daniel Libeskind – I see these sculptures becoming a central landmark for visitors to gather and relax”.
To realize the Gates project, Siemens worked together with the architectural team at Studio Libeskind (New York) and Libeskind Architettura (Milan). The sculptures themselves are fabricated by Central Industry Group (Germany) and the media content designed by Innovision, based in London.
