Poetic considerations that blend architectural moments with personal biography, such as Familia al Mare (“Family by the Sea”) with the famous beach huts, or the small 1993 Untitled drawing, where the railing overlooking the lake – perhaps the one in his much loved house in Ghiffa? – introduces a peaceful moment in the commotion of a life crammed with travels, meetings, writings, research, planning and construction.
The relationship between Aldo Rossi and Galleria Antonia Jannone began at the end of the seventies, at a time when Rossi was gaining international recognition with the singular compositions of his drawings and prints. On this occasion, and thanks to the collaboration with the Aldo Rossi Foundation, Antonia Jannone explores a more personal and poetic aspect of the architect’s life, invariably composed of things big and small.
