Tom Dixon brings The Factory to Paris: an installation that comprises an instant factory creating live on-site production, a packaging unit and a pop up shop.

Tom Dixon brings the scent of London to Maison&Objet with The Factory, an installation sets up within one space for the manufacturing of limited-edition scented accessories.

From on-site distillation to retail, the entire production line is put in full view of visitors. Raw ingredients are extracted to produce the London scent – a subtle blend of red brick, crocuses and nettles recreating the olfactory memories of the London parks; refill bottles containing the essential oil of London scent are laser-marked by Trumpf; diffusers are assembled, boxed and finally placed on the shelves of the pop-up shop.

Inspired by Tom Dixon’s obsession with great British manufacturing, the four limited-edition products are all made with bricks and materials from London.

Tom Dixon also launches a series of new accessories made from natural and semi-precious materials, drawing inspiration from many sources; engineering, physics and nature. Accessories and gifts informed by British heritage and designed for the modern world to be played with, treasured or given.
