Classified as “Historic Monument” in 1995, it opens regularly to the public on the occasion of a summer exhibition during which a few of the most talented international designers are invited to invest, with their creations, this outstanding space.
After Jasper Morrison, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Konstantin Grcic, the apartment N°50 welcome, for its fourth session, the French designer Pierre Charpin.
His sophisticated creations will dialogue with the original equipments of Charlotte Perriand and of Le Corbusier, whereas enlargements of his drawings to scale of the Modulor will underline the polychromy of the apartment.
By evoking the singular fate of this place and its rich history, Pierre Charpin wanted to integrate into his proposal certain works of his predecessors. The objects of Jasper Morrison, of Konstantin Grcic or Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec will punctuate this set as discreet signs of an alive memory.
The works were realized by the galeries Kreo, Design Gallery Milano and Post Design, Companies Ligne Roset and Venini, the Cirva, the Craft and La Manufacture Nationale De Sèvres.
