Concrete find its favourite application field inarchitecture, where is often the protagonist: among the numerous realizations we have selected Xafix House, a single-family house in Aguascalientes, Mexico, completed by Arkylab; the House in Jiyugaoka, a 40-year-old reinforced concrete apartment renovated by Airhouse Design Office; RW Concrete Church, the church designed by Nameless Architecture near Seoul; the galleries of the Danish National Maritime Museum, completed by BIG in Helsingør; and the holiday house Solo House, designed by the Chilean architects Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen in the country of Franja de Aragón, Spain, both monolithic and transparent.
Concrete also comes within domestic environment with several design projects. Among them Aplomb, a raw concrete lamp designed by Lucidipevere for Foscarini, the furniture designed by the British artist Sarah Lucas made out of concrete and MDF and the two lamps Balance 30 degree and Balance 35 degree, developed in collaboration by Korean designers Jin Sik Kim and Yu Hun Kim.
