It follows armchairs in different versions and a bed, but its design, on paper, came before the others. It was necessary to develop a technology that would make it feasible. It stems from a group of structural cushions, not only in the seat but also in the back and armrests, which are of the same height and are distinguished by their particular flexibility. Barber & Osgerby have devoted to the Button Tables the same attention paid to Tobi-Ishi: soft, highly calibrated forms and precise details.
The lacquered cylindrical bases are slightly tapered in the lower part to smooth their geometry. There are three variants, two with oval tops and one with a round top. They all have marble tops, whose raised edge suggests that of a tray.
