Nendo: Brushstroke

During Milan Design Week 2014 Nendo will exhibit new furniture collection Brushstroke, designed for Glasitalia, using colors and glass to create an unusual material.

Nendo: Brushstroke

Nendo designed the new collection that Glasitalia will present during Milan Design Week 2014.

To creates Brushstroke, Nendo brushed colour onto the transparent glass surface, then blew another layer of coloured paint on top.

Mixing colours through the brush’s unevenness produced a natural effect like wood grain or stone.
The tense perfection of glass’ glossiness and smoothness fuses with handwork’s imperfect texture to create an unusual material, employed here for an eight-piece collection including a side table, console, bench and dining table.
