I Frammenti is still the smallest mosaic in the world. Its ductility makes it comparable to a ceramic fabric and therefore makes coverable any surfaces from the most planar to the more curvilinear. I Frammenti is a patent-pending product in the major world markets. The difficult assembly of these small cubes is made possible by using a silicone glue that supports them. The result is a sheet of micro mosaic totally ductile and flexible, which is posed as a normal tile, once plastered.
"Joints never excited me. Joint transmits me the idea of division, separation, the impossibility of fusion. Thinking a joint as a conjunction between two things is an illusion. On the contrary I find stimulating the immaterial fluidity of energy, space and liquids. For the project of Brix tiles I took inspiration from this sort of fluidity. Tiles without a drawing, graphics and design in order to reveal the material in its own purity and essence. I thought this product as a field of fragments to give lightness and take away the weight of matrial."
