Anchae is a room in a traditional Korean house that functioned as the ladies’ quarters since the mid-Joseon dynasty (1392–1910). Introduced here is “Anchae Aesthetics”, named particularly by Domus Korea, the remarkable aesthetics that women of Joseon Korea exuded at the time, despite their limited spaces of living.
