Beoplay P6. The portable audio experience by Cecilie Manz

Soft and familiar, with a powerful sound. The new portable speaker by Bang & Olufsen is a technological challenge with a nod to the past.

“With Beoplay P6, we have redefined the archetype of the working of aluminium, going beyond the physical limitations of the material and focusing as much as possible on the three-dimensional aspect of the shells and their perforated patterns”, explains Cecilie Manz, speaking about her new portable Bluetooth speaker. Designed for Bang & Olufsen, it is a small masterpiece of productive engineering, and audio. With the grace of Scandinavian style, with a rounded form in anodized aluminium and a strap of double layered quality leather. It has unrivalled sound quality, uniform in all directions, with 16 hours of battery life.

‟The shape corresponds to the two main modes of use of the Beoplay P6: on the floor, in a corner of the house, or on the go”, continues Manz. While the sensation of a soft and familiar vintage object is provided, not only by the rounded form, but also by references to the audio system of the Beomaster 6000. These can be found in the flexible button interface integrated into the housing, and include the OneTouch button, which activates the smart functions including Siri and Google Assistant on the telephone, and allows calls to be accepted, or to pass to the preset Tone Touch via the Beoplay app, for a personalised music experience.
