There is even a theory that says that it is precisely thanks to all the bone marrow we ate (simply because all the others had already eaten everything else) that we became “sapiens”. This is ratified by the biblical quote “the last will be the first”!…

… Understanding how we evolved is indubitably useful to understand how we will evolve in the future, but how it all came about precisely we still do not know, and we might not ever. Luckily, we know that the unknown exists, and this helps a lot. It has guided the innovations of the past four or five centuries and is sure to guide the ones yet to come. And luckily, there are still many more things to discover, and at the moment this does not seem to be a resource threatened by depletion.
