This is the third chapter in the collaboration between the German company and the designer who died tragically last November. The car, which can be purchased in a limited series of 150 units, is accompanied by an exclusive Off White capsule collection.

The Maybach S-Class marks the final chapter in Project Maybach, which Virgil Abloh himself designed and created with Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener last year. Finalised shortly before Abloh’s tragic death in November, the collaboration ends with the presentation of the designer’s latest Mercedes-Maybach. This time, however, the car, unlike the previous two models, can actually be driven.

Available in a limited series of just 150 units, the S-Class is inspired by the models previously previewed in Miami, featuring a caramel colour and a unique logo inscribed on the luxury leather seats. Also announced with the launch is an extensive merchandise collection, considerably cheaper than the car. Curated by Off-White, the line includes a boxy T-shirt, an oversized hoodie, a crewneck sweatshirt, racing gloves and a baseball cap. Each of the limited-edition pieces is embroidered with the contributors’ logos in black, and are available in a sandy shade that matches the Maybach’s interior.
