The two Copenhagen-based designers recently published their latest project entitled Reflecting Flames, a series of three candle holders handcrafted in aluminum foil. The candle holder are made by beating the aluminum sheets, a tecnique that in the past was typically used the automotive field, an increasingly rare artisan process which today has almost completely disappeared.
Hammer Juhl and Jade Chan, focus their research on the sense of belonging of the objects, a feature which they say must necessarily occur within the spaces we live every day. For this reason their latest project has as main protagonist the fire, an element around which people gathered for thousands of years in search of conviviality, warmth and protection.
