Jewellery becomes a work of art, a promoter of culture, underlining the inescapable bond between design and material. The PArt - Peruffo Jewerly for Art project, curated by the brand of the same name, collaborates with international artists to create a series of unique pieces, each with its own story. The first stage in this journey is with visual artist Anna Franceschini, whose work DEMONSTRATIONSRAUM is part of the group exhibition “MPP, Même pas peur” curated by Davide Stucchi, on show until April 30th at the Galleria Martina Simeti in Milan. The work is inspired by the exhibition design of the 1920s, as the author explains: “When the concept of exhibition and installation as we understand it was becoming stable. The project is inspired by the Demonstration Rooms that El Lissitzky created in 1926 and 1927 in Dresden and Hanover”.
Each artist involved works side by side with the company’s team, assimilating the production, craft and technological processes that will lead them to realise their work. A collaboration that combines the know-how of a goldsmith’s company with an artistic stimulus that is different every time. Peruffo Jewelry’s constant interest in both innovative techniques and product design comes from the forty years of experience in the goldsmith’s art of the parent company in Vicenza, Fratelli Bovo. A continuous dialogue between research and experimentation that the brand has pursued since its inception.
