Lifestyles change (and become more and more urban), climatic conditions change and therefore the houses in which we live change as well. This is the premise of The Home Upgrade, which explores the infinite possibilities of reinventing a house, often looking beyond big budget projects. In the book you'll find, for example, the project of an apartment in Brooklyn that needed to be refurbished after the devastating Hurricane Sandy in 2012, in which the living space was raised above the high-water line. You'll also find many renovations, in which the coexistence between ancient space and contemporary needs is obtained in different and often unexpected ways.
From sofa to sofa, a journey through the world’s most beautiful interiors without ever leaving the house
Three new books, published by Gestalten, Phaidon and teNeues, collect the most interesting interior design projects of recent years, ranging from different styles, continents and times.

Interior Design Review Vol. 23
Now in its 23rd edition, the Interior Design Review Vol. 23 brings together the best interior design projects selected by the winners and finalists of the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Award. The award, also called "the Design Oscars" by the Sunday Time, and founded by Martin Waller in 1996, collects in almost 500 pages the 100 best projects of 2019 selected by a large jury - which in the past years has had as members the TV chef Gordon Ramsey, the former model Twiggy, the “queen of scents” Jo Malone and the British fashion designer Anya Hindmarch. Every year, the most surprising, eclectic, minimalist, opulent interior projects on the planet compete to win the prize. And the motto is “My home is my castle”.

Interiors: The Greatest Rooms of the Century
Large format, 450 pages and a velvet hardcover in four colour variants: Phaidon's book, which brings together 400 of the world's best interior designs by over 300 designers, is a global celebration of interior decoration. In addition to designers, architects and decorators, the book also includes projects by fashion designers (Pierre Cardin, Gianni Versace, Bill Blass and Coco Chanel), artists (such as Pablo Picasso, Georgia O’Keeffe, Cy Twombly and Peggy Guggenheim), style icons and movie stars. The selected projects go from the beginning of the 21st century to the present day, ranging from extraordinary castles, luxurious urban penthouses, desert ranches, beach houses and tiny apartments in 25 countries.
