There is a keyword behind Nendo’s design philosophy: minimalism. Poetic and essential with few elements that dialogue with each other with simple, almost childish shapes. According to this constant research, there is also the new watch designed for TEN:TEN. It is called “Buckle” and consists of only two elements, while wristwatches are usually made of three components: the dial, the buckle and the strap.

Nendo merged the case with the buckle into a single element, removing what he thought was “unnecessary”. The result is Buckle, which consists of only two elements: the two straps become a single piece, easily adjustable in length to suit many people. The watch size is unisex. The details here:
The dial, next to number ‘3’, shows two dots, a symbol that in Japanese is identified by the word Ten Ten (name of the brand and also of the first watch designed by Nendo for them in 2016). The three-dimensional design of hour markers gives the watch a special aesthetic value. The steel dial is available in three finishes: burnished or satin-finished steel and copper. It is water resistant to 3 ATMs.
The strap is easily attached so that it can be easily removed to change the colours according to people’s preferences. A curious fact: this watch was photographed with hands set on 10:10: a way to make the angle between the hands more aesthetically pleasing.
