The exhibition New York Unseen is a series of photographs taken by artist Marc Yankus, on show from October 3 to November 16 at ClampArt Gallery. Representing the buildings of New York, the exhibition is part of the investigation on the architecture of the city made by the American photographer: the most-recognizable buildings are isolated from noise, people and traffic, captured in their pure essence. In the project, the Bronx County Building, the Museum of Natural History or NY Public Library appear far from New York City. Marc Yankus explains: “In my portraits of New York’s buildings, I aim to mute some of the visual noise that can distract from their essential beauty, allowing the viewer to see the entirety of each building and in the process helping them see the city anew”.
