In a post-war industrial building, Oblique studio has renovated the interiors of a former office space with marked critical issues related to the accommodation of plants and services (previously located outside), creating a fluid and luminous flat with a pure contemporary character.
A clear division of the rooms into two macro-areas characterises the layout: the perimeter zone, elevated on a technical platform specially designed to house the plant systems, includes the sequence of sleeping areas and services, marked by sliding panels that allow the rooms to be used in different ways, while providing possibly uninterrupted views.

In the core area, a “void” free of partitions with a lower floor level acts as a stage for daytime activities and artistic exhibitions, around which the rituals of daily life physically (and ideally) revolve, and on which centripetal perspectives open up.
Soft, light-coloured finishes in the paintwork of walls, ceilings and structural elements, grit floors, natural wood furniture in the kitchen or lacquered bookcase marking the profile of the windows, give a homogeneous, radiant atmosphere to the spaces, visually expanding their boundaries and stimulating functional hybridisation.
