In Paris, the studios Ubalt Architectes and Ubi Bene have redesigned the home of French athletes, the headquarters of INSEP – Institut National du Sport, de l'Expertise et de la Performance. The intervention is defined by the graphic use of colours and materials, in dialogue with the new brand identity of the institution, which has collaborated with a well-known sportswear brand for the renovation.
Delimited by two brick walls and two glazed walls, the main room of the headquarters features a contrast between the electric blue smooth floor and the white of the furnishings, metal grilles and square pattern cladding. This motif, with various variations and balances, can be found in all the spaces of the project: corridors, bathrooms, offices and meeting rooms. In particular, the changing rooms are completely enveloped by a geometric pattern that makes it an abstract environment, making the colorful benches stand out.
