Aldar, the UAE's leading developer, investor and property manager, has announced to the market the start of sales from 21 November of the first residences in Abu Dhabi managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and designed by BIG. Adding prestige to the work, conceived by one of the most renowned studios on the planet and managed by the celebrated global luxury brand, is the location: in addition to boasting the most beautiful beaches in the area, the Al Saadiyat area is a candidate to become one of the most important cultural districts on the globe where international archistars converge to redesign the spaces of culture and sociality (from Jean Nouvel with the Louvre Abu Dhabi, to Frank Gehry with the Guggenheim under construction, to Norman Foster and Mecanoo with the future Zayed National Museum and Natural History Museum respectively). Mandarin Oriental Residences Saadiyat Cultural District will be completed in 2028 and will comprise 226 residences, services, a theatre, a library, restaurants, patisseries, a gymnasium and a games room.

The interiors of the dwellings, curated by New York designer Lillian Wu, will be characterised by refined yet cosy atmospheres, amid earthy hues and warm, natural materials such as wood, in contrast with essential steel finishes.
