Santiago Calatrava at Metropolitan Museum

In a blend of engineering, art and architecture, the structures by Santiago Calatrava are on show at the Metropolitan. The curators of the exhibit, Gary Tinterow and Jane Adlin, emphasize that the sketches, models and sculptures realized by the Spanish architect during the designing stage, are, to all effects, true works of art, themselves. The exhibit includes about a dozen sculptures in bronze and marble and an equal number of models, including the model for the Ground Zero terminal. E.S.
