A major exhibition retrospecting Arata Isozaki’s works of ‘unbuilt’ visionary architecture and reviewing ideas that were abandoned by the history. Having no goal of being realised, his visionary projects such as ‘City in the Air’, ‘Computer-aided City’, ‘Fictional City’ and ‘Mirage City’ played a significant role in architecture expanding the limit of its potential.
The exhibition includes the Electric Labyrinth, an ‘unrealized’ installation which was planned for the Milano Triennale of 1968 and finally realised in 2000. It will travelling in Guangzhou (August 14 to September 14; www.gdmoa.org) and in Qingdao (October 1 to October).
