Coinciding with the exhibition on seven international architecture practices from the Ticino Canton opened at the Swiss Cultural Centre in Milan on 26 February within the building designed in 1950 by Armin Meili, this evening sees the first of the series of evening conferences, introduced by Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani, with the participation of Campi, Reinhart, Ruchat-Roncati and Dolf Schnebli.
A second conference, to be introduced by Giulio Barazzetta and Roberto Masiero, is planned for 19 March, with Snozzi and Vacchini. Jacques Gubler, Mercedes Daguerre and Graziella Zannone Milan will be attending both conferences.
The projects on display relate to the period 1970-2003 with work by Mario Botta, Mario Campi, Aurelio Galfetti, Bruno Reichlin & Fabio Reinhart, Flora Ruchat-Roncati, Luigi Snozzi, Livio Vacchini, protagonists of the recent generation of architects from Ticino.
