A design master leading the award Stefano Boeri’s participation as president of the jury for the 2025 edition highlights sustainability as a cornerstone not only of the contest but of contemporary architectural practice as a whole. Boeri in several of his speeches has reiterated how the design of the future cannot ignore attention to the environment and the quality of urban life. This vision aligns perfectly with the philosophy of Schüco PWS Italia, the contest promoter.

The jury: a blend of experience and vision Alongside Stefano Boeri, this edition’s jury welcomes Paolo Capece, the winner of the first Aurea Award with his project “Yucche, Graniti e Basalti.” Capece brings the valuable perspective of a former contestant, contributing a fresh and original approach to evaluating the projects. The jury also features prominent figures such as Luigi Sammarro, Lorenzo Marin (Technical Director of Schüco PWS Italia), and Andrea Spozio (Head of Technical Support at the company). Together, they will evaluate submissions based on clear criteria: sustainability, design, lighting, and innovation—the four pillars of Schüco PWS Italia’s philosophy.

How to participate The Aurea Award 2025 is open to italian architects. Participation is simple: register at contests website and upload your project made with PVC window frames by Schüco PWS Italia. The works will initially be evaluated by both the expert jury and members of the Aurea Community, who will rate them on a scale from 6 to 10. The three projects with the highest average scores will advance to the finals, to be held in Rome in October 2025. During this exclusive event, the winner will be selected by Stefano Boeri himself and awarded a prize designed by Stefano Boeri Interiors—a symbol of excellence and creativity.
