Waterdot, a shower inspired by lighting

The new system of mix-and-match micro-shower heads takes inspiration from the world of lighting design and recessed spotlights to enhance the shower experience.

Once considered a secondary space, the bathroom has undergone a kind of emancipation in recent decades, transforming itself from a “service space” to a “wellness space”. This evolution has brought with it a different approach to design, no longer limited to functionality, but now focusing on wellness and aesthetics. Founded in 1960, FIMA Carlo Frattini has grown with the “changing face” of the bathroom, from the introduction of adjustable shower heads to water temperature control taps and now multifunction showers. One of the company’s most innovative solutions today is the Waterdot system, which offers a “personalised” shower experience thanks to a series of reduced-diameter micro jets designed to be placed close together.

The high degree of customisation is demonstrated by the possibility of choosing the type of water jet from among five different options: the traditional rain jet, the laminar jet, the mist jet, the mikado weave jet and finally the energy jet with three micro-jets. The Waterdot configuration options are therefore numerous, both in terms of aesthetics and design. In fact, the micro-jets can be freely positioned in the ceiling, like points of light, to create more or less extensive shower areas. But one of the most important aspects of this system is its ease of maintenance: because the components are modular, it’s possible to work on a single shower head if necessary, without affecting the entire system.

To complete the Waterdot range, the showerhead is available in four exclusive finishes, each with elegant details that enhance the design and offer different aesthetic options for the bathroom. From the “X” version, with its three-dimensional craftsmanship that creates a refined interplay of facets, to the “G” version, accentuated by ingenious knurling, the “P” texture, with a vertical striped design with a hi-tech touch, and the smooth “Flat” version, mainly used in the Trimless models to allow total integration with the ceiling. With the possibility of combining different versions and textures, Waterdot not only improves comfort and efficiency, but also enhances the design of the bathroom environment, making the shower the result of a creative idea in the name of maximum compositional freedom. This latest system confirms FIMA Carlo Frattini’s commitment to innovation and quality, meeting modern needs with elegant and functional solutions.
