Ceramic goes outdoor

“The exterior is always an interior” declared Le Corbusier in Towards an Architecture, his most famous book that is the manifesto of modern architecture. Today it is more than ever essential to consider the house as a space integrated with the surrounding environment, in balance and in harmony with the human and non-human activities that take place there. Continuity between indoors and outdoors is therefore one of the most relevant and present design themes in recent years. Outdoor spaces are being transformed into real rooms, capable of accommodating solutions for the kitchen, living, work and sport. To meet these needs, Marazzi's outdoor porcelain stoneware collections offer waterproof and non-slip surfaces thanks to their textured surface. Resistant to frost and fire, they maintain their colour and characteristics over time.

Marazzi introduces the new large 120x120 cm format in 20 mm thickness for outdoor use, with high resistance to loads and high stresses. The porcelain stoneware surfaces produced by Marazzi are easy to install and versatile, responding to requests for renovation or creation of new outdoor spaces for both private homes and urban spaces. The Italian company proposes two material inspirations through four collections: the Cementum20 collection, which faithfully reproduces the look and properties of cast concrete, and three stone-effect porcelain stoneware collections inserted inside the Mystone container. The large 120x120 format allows an excellent aesthetic result thanks to the minimum number of joints and is an excellent option for large surfaces. Finally, the variety of special pieces available allows for easy laying in different situations, such as swimming pools, porches and staircases, in continuity with the floor. The high technology of Marazzi production processes limits water and energy consumption and recovers 100% of waste materials within a closed production cycle.
