The Gallerie d’Italia, a trove of artistic treasures, embraces the dimension of sound, creating a bold and fascinating combination orchestrated by Davide Boosta Dileo.
A musician, DJ, composer, writer, producer and sound artist with a 25-year career behind him. Drawing on his artistic sensitivity, Davide has embarked on a journey of imagination to explore the vast collections of Intesa Sanpaolo and the Publifoto Archive. A pilgrimage that has led him to the four branches of the Gallerie d’Italia - Milan, Naples, Turin and Vicenza - in search of paintings, sculptures and photographs that provide him with renewed inspiration. From more than 35,000 works of art and almost 7 million photographs, he painstakingly chose the masterpieces that were to inspire his sound creations.
The result is four musical compositions, each dedicated to a branch of the Gallerie, which will be presented to audiences with a series of concert-events due to begin in Autumn. A veritable tour in which visual arts blend with music, in an intimate and vibrant dialogue between the artist, the audience and the works of art.
Gallerie Sonore is an immersive experience that both transcends and unites the boundaries of the musical, pictorial and sculptural arts, binding the four branches of the Gallerie d’Italia with a single common thread. The Milan event will take place on 22 November, an unmissable opportunity for spectators to allow themselves to be carried away by the evocative melodies of Boosta, a multi-faceted musician who has gained public acclaim with Subsonica, as well as his collaborations with prestigious figures ranging from Mina to Depeche Mode.
With his innate ability to combine genres and experiment with new forms of sound, Dileo has created a unique project in which art becomes sound, and sound becomes art. A sensory experience that promises to reawaken the soul and enrapture the spirit.
