“We wanted to question the traditional aesthetics of hi-tech devices”. This is how Iina Vuorivirta, one of the IKEA designers, illustrates the brand's work on Symfonisk, the connected speakers realized in collaboration with Sonos. In particular, he's talking about the Symfonisk table lamp, who has more or less the same qualities as the entry-level Sonos One, but is also a light. “The lamp with wi-fi speaker is partly inspired by fireplaces, capable of emitting both warm light and sounds”. Ikea and Sonos working together is one of the most anticipated collaborations of the year. These speakers are compatible with the award-prized Sonos system and its app ecosystem, representing a good start for newcomers or a perfect fill-in for who already owns any other device by the American company. For now, the Symfonisk series lineup is composed of two speakers: the innovative table lamp (€179) and a less unexpectable table speaker (€99).
Symfonisk, Ikea's wireless speakers powered by Sonos, are now on sell
