A side-table and a series of upholstered furniture enrich the Amura furniture line, a company from Puglia, Italy, founded by Emanuel Gargano and Anton Cristell. The new pieces are called Panis and Setacci, both inspired by the famous Altamura bread. The first one is a complete line of poufs, sofas and armchairs designed by Emanuel Gargano, Anton Cristell, Elisabetta Furin and Rosaria Copeta dedicated to domestic conviviality. Panis pays homage to the iconic image of large loaves, a true cult in the southern city, and celebrates its soft shapes. The collection recalls the lines of the timbres historically used by every Altamura family to brand their loaves.

The same design team has signed the Setacci collection, made of low tables of different diameters and heights. As for Panis, this piece is inspired by the process of preparing bread, taking up the shape of sieves for flour, objects that are part the farming tradition in Altamura. The tables consist of a perforated top surface in metal sheet, wood or leather, while the base – in wood, metal or leather – is marked by a single curved surface and closed by leather stitching.
