Right in time for Barbie 65th anniversary, Mattel’s Barbie brand and Rebook Europe have teamed up to release a global footwear and apparel collection for adults and kids, along with a creative campaign inspired by Barbie’s Dream Gap Project, which aims to challenge stereotypes and reduce barriers that Black and Brown girls face within the footwear industry. The collection blends Barbie’s signature colours and iconography with iconic Reebok designs, with key pieces like the Barbie x Reebok Graphic Tee that honours the first Black Barbie and footwear styles like the Club C Extra and FloatZig 1.
In conjunction with the collection and furthering Reebok’s “Human Rights Now!” and United Against Racism initiatives, Reebok has also partnered with Girls Inc. to support young girls through mentorship, hosting young members of the Lynn, MA chapter to its global headquarters in Boston.
