Blunt Action – a 3D animation studio based in New York City – transformed the NASA archives into a 3D animation project at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida. An impressive 30-foot billboard displays a six-minute video loop showcasing the space agency’s decade-long history, ongoing projects, and future goals. According to Blunt Action, it is one of the longest animations ever created for an anamorphic 3D display, and the result is remarkable. The transitions are perfectly smooth, with no significant delays.

The team, led by the studio’s co-founders Ethan Jakab, Colby Hampton, and Jared Bellon, collaborated with SNA Displays, whose 30-foot 3D display represents one of the widest possibilities currently available, enabling an extremely engaging experience.
“This project wasn’t just about creating an animation; it was about breathing life into history, crafting an immersive portal to the stars, and presenting it to the public. We take pride in pushing boundaries, and NASA’s trust in our creative direction has resulted in one of the most ambitious and breathtaking anamorphic visual experiences,” said Ethan Jakab.
