The Kennedy family loved France very much, and they used to spend the summer on the French Riviera in the 1930s when Joseph Patrick Kennedy worked as the American ambassador to the United Kingdom between 1938 and 1940. The villa, located between Mougins and Valbonne, 10 minutes from Cannes, in which it is said that the future President of the United States John Fitzgerald Kennedy learned to swim, is for sale for $35 million.
Known as Domaine de Beaumont, the property built in 1920 and designed by Jacques Couelle, occupies almost 4 acres and consists of several buildings. The main building has an area of 12,500 square feet and in addition to the different services has at least 9 bedrooms, a sumptuous marble entrance with a big staircase, a formal dining room, a breakfast room, a large living area, and an entertainment room. There is also a house for domestic staff, a wine cellar, a 65-foot marble heated swimming pool, an indoor pool, waterfalls and ornamental pools, olive trees, flower beds, and a tennis court.
