Milan and Inter have chosen Popolous’ project as their new stadium in Milan, with underground parkings and a 50,000-square-meters park. The facility will be able to accommodate a maximum of 65,000 spectators and will be ready after the 2026 Olympic Games.

The project – which will be able to accomodate a maximum of 65,000 spectators (less than the 80,000 of the Meazza stadium) – sees a reconfiguration of the area currently occupied by the Meazza Stadium, with the creation of a new hub dedicated to sport and leisure.
‘The Cathedral’ wants to celebrate with its shape the cultural heritage of Milan. Its design, in fact, is inspired by two of the most notorious buildings of the city: the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Thanks to these references the stadium will be different from any other sport arena in the world.
