Even though the building barely surpasses 600 feet, that height is still tall for Paris, where locals argue that the building belongs to La Défense, the business district located outside of city borders which hosts all of Paris skyscrapers.
Also environmental groups strongly slammed the project as an “ecological aberration”. Furthermore, advocacy organization SOS Paris notes that the tower’s construction will require up to four times more steel and concrete than a typical building and that its irregular shape will need additional energy consumption.
In any case, Tour Triangle – compared to “a big piece of brie”, among other things – probably won’t see the light soon.
