Located in the Futian District, the building – dubbed “The People’s Performing Arts Center” – will stand as part of a larger masterplan. Composed of two golden volumes, the project has the purpose to represent the duality of Shenzhen, between tradition and future. The organic forms resemble the waters’ movement in the nearby bay and the facades create a dynamic layer that changes with the time of day and season.
The Performing Arts Center will include a theater, a concert hall, various practice rooms, rehearsal spaces, along with a variety of public amenities including shops a restaurant and an exhibition space.
