The Recording Academy has unveiled the stage design for the 67th GRAMMY Awards, set to take place on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Designed by New York-based Yellow Studio, the stage is centered around a 20-foot mirrored gramophone sculpture, a direct reference to the award itself. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Yellow Studio has overseen the event’s visual identity.
The stage is framed by a 105-foot projection screen and over 750 LED tiles, creating a shifting digital backdrop. Onyx-inspired textures applied to the stairs, tabletops, and surrounding structures extend this aesthetic into the audience area, where nominee tables are arranged in a blue-lit space. Curved staircases connect the main stage to the seating area, reinforcing continuity between presenters and nominees. Floral arrangements featuring peonies, ranunculus, and cymbidium orchids introduce a softer contrast to the otherwise rigid visual composition.

The emphasis on the gramophone as a central element underscores the Recording Academy’s approach to branding, prioritizing a strong symbolic presence over abstraction or reinterpretation. According to Julio Himede, founder of Yellow Studio, “Deep blue tones and onyx-inspired textures frame the sculpture and extend the design into the audience through our elegant nominee area.” This continuation of Yellow Studio’s previous GRAMMY designs suggests a preference for visual consistency rather than experimentation.
Yellow Studio has previously worked on large-scale productions, including the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and the MTV VMA Awards 2021. The studio will also be responsible for the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards, set to take place in London next month.
The 67th GRAMMY Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah, will include performances by Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Doechii, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, and Shakira, among others. Special segments will highlight figures such as Quincy Jones and feature a tribute to Los Angeles’ musical heritage.
