Also this year Seed. Design Actions for the Future returns to the city of Perugia, in the halls of the Auditorium San Francesco al Prato and the Accademia Belle Arti Pietro Vannucci. The presentation of the new edition will take place on Friday 20 September, with an introduction by Stefano Boeri on the theme of 'Living Architecture'. The event itself will begin at 6 p.m. on 25 September, with institutional greetings from Vittoria Ferdinandi, Mayor of Perugia, Alcide Casini, President of the Fondazione Perugia, Giorgio Mencaroni, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria, Donatella Tesei, President of the Umbria Region, followed by an overview by Walter Mariotti, editorial director of Domus, Barbara Cadeddu, scientific coordinator of Seed, and Andrea Margaritelli, president of IN/Arch.

Throughout the four days of the festival, talks and lectures will be held on the theme of Balances, chosen for 2024. Specifically, 'Like acrobats on a tightrope. A contemporary fable' by Roberto Battiston (experimental physicist, populariser, essayist) will open the cycle on Wednesday 25th, after which the festival will continue with talks by numerous architects, philosophers, scientists and other specialists of international calibre, demonstrating the interdisciplinary nature of the event. Among the guests are Javier Arpa Fernandez, Alessandro Aresu, Giovanni Bellotti, Paolo Benanti, Peter Biľak, Luca Bindi, Barbara Binelli, Petra Blaisse, Stefano Boeri, Barbara Brondi, Chiara Buratti, Laura Canali, Lucio Caracciolo, Diana Carta, Emanuele Coccia, Aldo Colonetti, Alessandra Covini, Jana Crepon, Mario Cucinella, Omar di Felice, Gianluca Falcinelli, Sofia Fatigoni, Jan Gehl, Raffaella Giordano, Piero Lissoni, Giacomo Maniscalco, Walter Mariotti, Annalisa Metta, Toshiko Mori, Manuel Orazi, Raul Pantaleo, Marco Rainó, Alexander Römer, Amedeo Schiattarella, Maria Soave, Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, Marco Tortoioli Ricci, Giovanni Vecchiato. The geopolitics of conflict and inequality, civil rights, algorethics, are just some of the topics that will be addressed in this edition, which will also see the launch of the Seed Data Room, a physical and digital space accessible online from the SEED* platform. The information environment will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the history of reality through its data.
