3D candle snuffers

Three international design studios merged to create a black 3D printed steel collection of candle snuffers for New York-based brand Othr, revamping domestic classic.

Three different design studios created a collection of candle snuffers for 3D print company Othr. Norwegian duo Vera & Kyte released the compact Apex, Pablo Alabau designed Halcyon, and Valencia-based Studio Yonoh created Ocaso.

The three geometric candle snuffers bring a fresh take to a classic form. The designers have reconceived this iconic object, each in their own design language. While the candle snuffers are unique, shapes are repeated throughout so that the three pieces become a cohesive collection, all made in 3D black printed steel. Ocaso and Apex come in a more compact form, while Halcyon keeps a typical long element to turn off the flame.
