“Study for Screens” is an installation presented at WeWork Bryant Park during NYCxDesign 2017 by Stockholm-based design company, Hem, in collaboration with London-based designer, Philippe Malouin. The project explores screen solutions in a series of visual notes, or three-dimensional sketches on what it means to separate spaces.

For the project Malouin has set up a temporary residency in New York and addressed elements such as texture, color, light refraction and reflection, soundproofing, flexibility, weight, simplicity and the unexpected. Hem also showcased its latest office design collection of furniture and objects alongside Malouin’s screens, featuring names such as Max Lamb, Pauline Deltour, Luca Nichetto, Staffan Holm, Sylvain Willenz and Karoline Fesser.
