Saint Petersburg-based industrial designer Yaroslav Misonzhnikov will present the multifunctional desk Zevaka at the upcoming Salone Satellite, on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2013.

Zevaka, which in Russian stands for "the yawning person", was designed for "progressive modern universities," explains Misonzhnikov, who researched the specific behaviour of students during their studying process.

"This table is created not only for "lazy" students but mainly for those who need a rest and a break while they are working," Misonzhnikov states.

The desk integrates a series of added functions. By opening part of the tabletop, one can take a nap on a flexible latex support. Underneath the table, a ceramic panel aims at collecting chewing gum, facilitating later removal.

Other features include a cup stand, a wire holder/organiser, a condom box, and a bag hanger — which allows for short and long strap backpacks.
