Departing from a phenomenon observed in a traditional Korean house, Ryan Harc's latest lamp, presented at IMM Cologne 2012, was inspired by the way light permeates throughout lined up siding doors. As the doors in a traditional house are made out of paper, it appeared as numerous light layers overlapped and surround the whole space, creating a soft and comfortable atmosphere.

In their lamp, multiple panels repeated inside create small rooms and express depth of light. LEDs creates indirect lighting zones without heat. The lamp resembles an architectural object, but once you turned on, beautifully overlapped layers generate a warm light source.
