In this issue we explore the regional architectural characteristics inherent to Jaffna, in Northern Sri Lanka, as expressed in the HNB Green Building, which also incorporates the modern concepts and practices expected of an established financial institution.

In the international sphere, two architectural educationists from the London Metropolitan University discuss their enthusiastic approach to teaching on a daily basis in Engaging People to Love Architecture, Carl-Viggo Holmebakk explores questions in relation to projects that are only conceived and not built particularly in reference to Sofienlund Tennis-Court House in Tromoya.

The Walk by Michele De Lucchi brings to light the latest movements in architecture for a work place, Lebanese architects Youssef Tohme and Anastasia El Rous present a house, Villa T, Kornet Chehouane, Lebanon that challenges the notion of boundaries and norms in domestic space, and three young Mexican architects discuss the refurbishment of a 20th century building, the house of artist Danh Vo, Casa Flora in Mexico City, where the past exists with the arrival of the new.
