Giulio De Carli was born in Milan in 1962, graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic in 1986 and is one of the Founding Partners at One Works. He has over 30 years’ experience in masterplanning, planning and design around the world. He specializes in the planning and design of transport and aviation related facilities and infrastructures, providing consultancy to airport operating companies and industry related clients, as well as privatization deals. He has been appointed to deliver a number of high-profile projects including the masterplan for the Italian Airports Network commissioned by ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) and the Venice International Airport masterplan. Lately he has been developing his activity in the MENA region working for the development of two flagship stations of the New Riyadh Metro, as well as delivering the detailed design of the Major Stations and seven underground stations and two major stations for the New Doha Red Line North metro, now completed. In Italy, he is working on several airport masterplans and on the upgrading and extension of airport passenger terminals and related infrastructures. De Carli has published the book New Airports (24 Ore Cultura, Milan, 2011) and is a recognized keynote speaker in the European transportation market.
